ROPE OIL (BENTONITE)

ROPE OIL (BENTONITE)

Rope Oil (Bentonite) is a low penetrating oil containing high graphite and MoS2. It protects the rope against water and oxidation by forming a layer on rope and wire and also provides protection against corrosion, preventing friction and abrasion.

Usage

It is used in steel ropes, elevators, lubrication of ship ropes, bobbins, lubrication of shaking parts, general engineering applications.

Properties

  • Antitoxic Effectiveness: It does not contain an aromatic compound and does not have toxic effect.
  • Hydrophobic Structure Properties: It is resistant to water, rust and damp environments.
  • High Temperature and Pressure Resistance: High MoS2 (molybdenum disulphide) and graphite resistance show pressure resistance, protects oil film even under high pressure and heat.
  • Saltwater and Sunlight Resistance Feature: Can be used in places exposed to sun and salt water.
